I've gone thru the cdwriting howto. I want to write multisession cds. I have a duron 850 w/ via mobo w/ 128 ram w/ Samsung combo 304 cdrw/dvd w/ pcql 7.1.
This is what I do: --------------------------------- mkisofs -R -o image.raw /backup cdrecord -v speed=4 dev=0,0,0 -multi image.raw --------------------------------- This writes the first track to the cd, but cdrecord -msinfo dev=0,0,0 gives a time out error. Now, when I try to write a second track to the cd, though cdrecord mentions the burning as *good*, I am unable to see the second track. The second track iso is made in a secondary directory as suggested in te README.multi file which is slightly archaic if I may say so :-(. Both, my cdrom as well as cdrw drives are capable of reading multisession cds. As an aside, xdcroast (which by itself is unable to *write* multisession cds) shows the cd as having all the three tracks that I have written to it. What am I doing wrong. Is there any gui that supports multisession cds? Both gcombust as well as xcdroast are unable to write multisssion cds. I've just seen KonCD which is supposed to be able to burn multisession cds but it requires kde 2.2 and I only have kde 2.1.2. regards, Sharukh. -- Dr. Sharukh K. R. Pavri.
