AFAIK, i810 support is not distro specific. You have to have the proper
XFree server installed which supports i810. I am using debian on an i810.
It worked well with XFree 4.0.3, now I am on XFree 4.1.

The XFree which is given with potato is 3.3.6. Just apt-get XFree from the
woody tree and things should work fine.

HTH

Why re-type a full command. At the bash prompt "!" allows you
to go back to the last command executed with a search pattern.
e.g. During an edit-compile session you entered something like
gcc -o test test.c, and then edited it again, to re-compile it
all you do is enter '!gcc' [Enter] ... and there it goes ...
