hi
this is a grrt idea..especially if u make it a bit more india specific (where to get 
distros in
india, peculiarities of hardware in india)
u can add the following sections
1) hardware issues (configuring bad hardware..winmodems, gdi printer..SIS 6215C cards 
;-)
2) wine and vmware

u can divide the book into 2 volumes..beginners and advanced
this seems to be a huge job, and so if u want help, i'm ready to work with u

To remove a HUGE file  which causes crash of ls & rm commands
do:

$ cat /dev/null > mybigfile
$ rm mybigfile
