Server = Debian or Slackware. Or maybe Freebsd. Desktop = Mandrake.
PCQLinux / Redhat = Perhaps you can use it as a coaster for keeping coffee
mugs on (its a bit outdated, some corrupt packages in it etc) :)
Whatever linux it is - even mandrake 8.1 - you'll have to spend a lot of time
upgrading stuff (esp the kernel, sendmail etc) server side.
Client side = firewall them from the 'net / keep them behind NAT etc.
