Please have a good read of Printing-HOWTO to understand exactly
how printing is done under Linux.

lpr, lprng, cups etc provide for the print mechanisms. What you
need are printer drivers for your specific device. RH has prin-
tool. Drivers are also available within ghostscript for several
printers as well. It is advisable, to use specific progs like
"apsfilter" or "magicfilter" to set up the spool / drivers. In
case these are not available with your distro, pl download from
the net. "apsfilter" is pretty small. It is a bash script !

The very face the you are getting gibberish is a sign of "good"
health, and only the correct drivers need to be installed.

Sub : Searching for files (#1) LOST #171

To search for files that match a particular name, use find(1);
for example : find / -name "*GENERIC*" -ls

will search '/', and all subdirs, for files with 'GENERIC' in
the name.
