It is totally customizable under KDE.

This is applicable may be only for 2.x series


You define the key you want to from kcontrol

Run kcontrol
in the left side of the window:

expand 'LookNFeel'
Look for 'Key Bindings'

In the right side of the window 
Look for "Lock Screen"
    then assign the key
