Hi,
        Use ALSA and the fm801 module. I have configured my sound 
card based on the same chipset about using ALSA and the sound is 
better than on windows. 
        Also, take a look at the ALSA sound card matrix. They have 
long changed the the module for QS300A from ymfpci to fm801 on my 
suggestion.
