Hi
Since ppp0 is always up due to the enabling of demand dialing , ifconfig would always
show ppp0. Maybe pinging and parsing the output
may work.
Say,
I give the logic for a script
----------------------------------------------------------------
ping -c 10 61.0.0.33 >somefile
X = grep "61.0.0.33" somefile
if not X then
./spectrum # call ISP chat script
----------------------------------------------------------------
Please help me to make the 'real' script (Am too bad at shell prog)
regards
Nataraj
