You have to queue the mail using confCON_EXPENSIVE HoldExpensive [False] Avoid connecting immediately set this to true in sendmail.mc ... see http://www.hserus.net/sendmail.html for a sendmail config suitable for dialups / isdn or other non-permanent hosts. > I have gone through the article in pcquest, but at last > the author suggested to run the command sendmail -q5m > when the ppp goes up and /sbin/sendmail -q1h when the ppp goes down. > How can i do this to my lan as it is not on PPP. Processing the queue every 1h assumes you dial out every one hour ... PPP, ISDN, it doesn't matter ... just that /usr/sbin/sendmail -q is run every 1 hour instead of every 5 minutes. -- Suresh Ramasubramanian <----> mallet <at> efn dot org EMail Sturmbannfuhrer, Lower Middle Class Unix Sysadmin _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
