HI iam using redhat 6.2. gnome was working properly until now today i tried to install kde .i used pc quest cd and upgraded through it. i restarted linux & gnome ,and selected kde through desktop switching tool. and restarted Xserver than after the spotted screen and mouse pointer display Xserver stopped by giving error "kwm cannot start libqt.so.1 notfound " and other errors similar to that . Now the problem is that i Cannot start Xserver.Now i tried reinstalling again ,after no of times and no success ,system wont boot from cdrom it tries to access floopy disk than gives failure than tries to access cd rom and fails again.so how do i solve this. Prior to above events gnome worked properly ,if somehow i could change settings thru # prompt so that X started in gnome & not in kde which what it does and fails ,right now. i have tried the switchdesk-gnome command but no help it gave error too gtk warning . please help me out.
