Do not enable plain text passwords!

Samba 2.2 has support for Win2k and XP. Upgrade your copy of samba to
the latest release (2.2.2 IIRC)

You have to join the domain as "root"

Why are you enabling plain text passwords all over the place? There is
_no_ need for this! You only _enable_ plain text passwords if you are
authenticating against _PAM_!!! By using plain text passwords, you are
actually breaking domain controller functions in Samba.
