Hi, Using LILO, the dual boot between Windows 2000 & Linux is difficult to configure. But you can use the windows boot loader to obtain the same. First u have to create a boot image for your linux and change the 'boot.ini' file(which is in the system partition of windows 2000) accordingly.

Date: Wed, 19 Dec 2001 09:44:45 +0530 Hi, I have installed PCQ Linux, on a partition with custom intalling mode. I had Windows2000 Professioal allready installed on NTFS partition. LILO was working fine with showing options to boot in Linux or Dos etc. But, when I selected to boot to DOS, it displayed a mesg "Loading DOS" and stopped. (I think it is not recognising NTFS partition). So I logged into Linux, and uninstalled LILO using "lilo -u " command. Now the system is booting directly to Windows 2000. If I want want to use Linux, I have to use boot floppy. How can I reinstall LILO and How can I make it to recognise NTFS? Please let me know indetail how to modify lilo.conf if there is a way. -Vivek. _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help Manoj M Nair IVL India Pvt Ltd. 131-135,Nila Technopark Campus Trivandrum - 695581 Kerala - INDIA Phone: +91 (0471) 418982/416972/416897/415412 Fax : +91 (0471) 416973 _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
