Hmmm...man pages and docs are too much for a beginner, it just goes overhead, especially the man pages. I suggest the book by Sumitabha Das, from Tata McGraw Hill. I don't recall its name now, it is orange colored book. Pretty neat for beginners to intermediate level guys, till you get a hang to read the man pages. ;) -a -- Amarendra A.
