I think this is more to do with Yahoo mail server than KMail. Seems like
Yahoo authenticates when sending mails too. I have configured my Yahoo
account in KMail and found a way to send mails using Yahoo: In the
'Miscellaneous' section of the KMail configuration dialog, check the 'Send
Mail in outbox folder on check' checkbox. Thus when you check your Yahoo
mail, immediately after checking for mails, KMail sends mails in outbox
folder, just in time before the Yahoo server timeout for 'remembering' your
login expires. Hope this helps. Note that you need to first queue your
out-bound mails in your outbox. To do this, click the 'Queue' toolbar button
and in the Properties tab for Sending mails in the Network section of KMail
configuration dialog, select the 'Send later' option for the "Default send
method".
Regards,
Amol
