I guess much better answer would 'man hier' on BSD systems. Not sure of exact 
man pages as I haven't touched BSD for long... but BSD has lot of things in 
documentation etc. which linux should have like 'man tuning'.

man rpm

Do something like this.

$ rpm -ql <rpm name>

To find all rpms installed,

$ rpm -qa | more

I don't think any distro has bundled jdk with it. PCQ may have provided it on 
some CD. etter get hands on a latest version from blackdown/IBM. Sun JDK for 
linux is not as good even if it's blackdown essentially..
