Umm I have the data currently spread out over 9+17+36GB hard disk and have been juggling around the directories forever it seems. The new one would have 2 x 36GB hard disk but I dont want to juggle directories around. I dont really worry too much about a hard disk failure - its something which I would rather risk than spending the money for another 72 GB and RAID1 being done by a third party. Also as I told earlier I dont have physical access to the machine and I cant have extra hardware installed on it for a short time. I cant do a minimal install since the installation is beyond my control. I will simply get a preinstalled server in a remote location without RAID of any sort and I need to make the best use of the hardware without getting sleepless night. I am sure this isnt a very unheard of situation. It is interesting to note I am getting more responses from Linux-Delhi than from Linux-India-help is it because I have gone astray somehow or because no one has ever encountered such a situation before in India other than Delhi ???? :).
