It's based on the RFC, so it takes into account every possible correct
email address, even those that have no @, !arpa style addresses, email
addresses with embedded comments, recursive comments, list identifiers
(List:;) and a lot more. It does not look for specific strings like
.com, .org, etc. Also works with IP addresses.
Basically, it matches any, and only rfc822 compliant address (section 6.
ADDRESS SPECIFICATION / 6.1 SYNTAX).
