And as far as my na�ve understanding goes, any program that can handle all 
possible input conditions can be turned into daemon by

$ nohup progname >log 2>&1 log &

Isn't it funny so many things daemons does today when daemon actually stands 
for 'Disks and execution monitor'. (Yes it has nothing to do with demon as in 
BSD mascot..)
