I have my server (RH7.1) at an ISP. Am remotely restarting java server (JRUN). A graphics printing program (creates JPEGS, using java 2d) gives an error saying it cant connect to X11 server. (This program used to run fine in development when we started the j server within X). I tried connecting through VNC and restarting but no difference. I did a "xhost +" at my end too. (It tried to connect to my machine across the internet through its DISPLAY variable.)
anyone hv a solution ? Under what situations can a program (particularly one started upon boot) be unable to connect to X?
