Good Linux day everyone,
Here is my problem.
At present I am having two leased lines both of which are having different gateways
and accordingly there are 2 servers deployed. Both these machines are linux boxes one
is RH6.2 other 7.1 with a two NIC cards each firewalled through IP chains etc..
Iam trying to migrate the line using 7.1 gateway to the other 6.2 box but Iam not sure
if adding another card on the same machine (6.2 box) will work. Here is what I thought
I could do
1. Add another card on my 6.2 server with the new IP address
2. hook up the second line to the 6.2 box and take the 7.1 box out
Iam not having enough confidence to tamper with the older gateway until I know exactly
what Iam supposed to do. Also Iam not too sure if this scheme is going to work since
the two lines are from two different ISPs and while one is with class-B IP address the
other is having (what looks like) a class-D IP address.
If you could give information about specific projects of this nature that may be
available on the net or can guide me on this it would be a great help.
