Thanks to all for answers to this thread ! Sorry for the delay, was out of town. :-(

Well, re-assigning is possible thru X, but do'nt know how to go for it, in shell. 'Cause the concerned app - "Desi" is shell based . :-( =================================================== ---------------------------------------------------- >From: "Shridhar Daithankar" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Date: Tue, 8 Jan 2002 13:49:23 +0530 >Secondly as far as mapping keys are concerned, you can do that with mapping in >xkbdmap. Very difficult though ... Yes, I have fiddled around binary-editing in DOS, sometime ago. But it is not worth doing it, as far as time is concerned. Instead coding your own app, is much better approach ! >This TSR concept is purely DOS. Under *nix most programs can be >run as a daemon ... with the "&" suffix. What do you mean by "most programs" ? You are damn exactly on the Bull's Eye ! I have gone thru it. Since my "Desi" editor problem is solved with your's & Sudhir's guidance, I have not coded the wrapper. But I will appriciate if any-body has used the syntax of getkeycodes etc and post me the code snippet in my personal mail, else I will have to re-invent the wheel ! **************************************************** Thanks & Regards ! ~newlxuser _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
