The ideal solution is if we can get hold of some M$ replace-
ment for fetchmail which will download mails in mbox format.
Pine for Win can handle the next bit. Uploading is another
are to be looked into. Unfortunately, dos shell programming
(through batch files) is unlike *nix shells. I have an idea
of making a telnet wrapper in Qbasic which can do the down-
loading and uploading. Theoretically possible, but I have
lost my Qbasic touch :-( .. anybody current with M$ can give
this a thought ....

The latter is most likely going to be the case. I get to do

CD has unreadable sectors ... To check for read defects do:
'dd if=/dev/cdrom of=/dev/null'
