my name is Prashant. I am currently studying
in IIITM-GWALIOR.
we have maintained 3 linux servers.
foloowing are the list of tasks we want to accomplish,
please help me in this direction.
1. want to setup a working NFS , NIS ,DNS ,DHCP,
BOOTP server on Linux . we have currently 7.1 and 7.2
linux versions both.
2. how to implement IPV6 in linux box.
3. i have heard that we can't have to Network
Operating systems on one machine, is it true? and if
so why.
4. we want to setup an IP Masquerade server though
for now we have configured Squid proxy server for
giving Internet connection to our users . can anyone
suggest some other good proxy server, and also how to
setup a working IP Masquerade linux server and how to
configure linux box as a working Intranet server and a
router.
5. we want to have a state of the art Linux dialup
server please help me in this direction.
6. how to configure efficiently Samba file server on
linux.
7. please guide me what all database servers are
there on linux and how to make use of them.
