After posting my mail on kernel compilation I have stumbled upon another : This is what df -h says after I did a bzcat kernel-source-2.2.19.tar.bz2 | tar xvf -
Poornashree:/usr/src# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/hda8 1.1G 897M 188M 83% / Will it be advisable to go ahead with a kernel compilation given that I have just 188 M free ?
