When you talk about Windows, you have to be more specific.

AFAIK, 16bit and 32bit support is built into the kernel. It is
merely a merely of mounting the  MS-DOS/ Win-9x  partition  as
msdos or vfat (if vfat module has been loaded into kernel).

For NTFS, support is in alpha, so do not try with NT/ 2k/ XP.

Make a plain 16/ 32 bit partition and let bot OSs access from
here, in case of NT type Wins.
