Dear friends,
                         I want to have two different kernels compiled
from the same source(version) on the same machine. one should be
monolithic(In both cases I intend to use loadlin) and the other should
be modular. Is it possibe for such a setup to exist ? I am familiar
with kernel compilation but not with this particular scenario. Would
making the monolithic bzImage first and then the modular bzImage(by
repeating- (make config,make dep,make clean,make bzImage::: make
modules,make modules_install)be the solution. I havent dont as stated
above but tried out the reverse -modular compiled followed by
monolithic. However even if I boot from the monolithic it prints a few
error messages about some modules not being found etc, particularly the
USB-uhci thing for which support is there in the modular one by disabled
in the Monolithic one.
                   If going for a new version is the solution please let
me know a good stable(not necessarily the latest) version. I am
currently on 2.4.3-12. Chipset is i810.
