I have had a domain setup for me and am *trying* to use the smtp server to
send out mails with my new email addresses. But everytime I do a sendmail -q
I get a message saying user unknown and I get an error message in my mailbox.
I am attaching below the error message. I am only able to send mail to the
mail addresses set up for my domain, ie, I can send to & from [EMAIL PROTECTED] and
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

I am using a stock pcql 7.1 w/ sendmail 8.11.2-14, fetchmail 5.7.4 and mutt
1.3.23i.

I have changed the relevant entries in sendmail.mc and used m4 to generate
the sendmail.cf. There is no mention of vsnl in either sendmail.cf,
sendmail.mc or in .muttrc. Also, [EMAIL PROTECTED] is a functioning address,
I am using it from my other pcql 7.1 machine.

What I can't figure out is why my mails are picking up a vsnl.net.in tags in
the Resent-From and Message-ID headers. I am using vsnl to connect and I am
using vsnl's dns servers in my resolv.conf but that is all. Where am I making
a mistake ?

The webmail interface for my domain mails uses sqwebmail if that's any help.

regards,

Sharukh.
