I could not find this file on my PC. I tried rpm with
--force ( ofcourse which is same as --replacefiles ). When
nothing seems to be working, I deleted "rc"  file from my
system and reinstalled rpm.

Now every thing is working fine. Thanks Binand. It was your
clue which worked.
