In X, there is kde media player. I saw a motif one but not sure it was CD player or mp3 player.. Or some console based players like gamp/mpg123. I got a curses based player working(Forgot the name) but not as great as xmms.. If you have time to hunt for them, check http://freshmeat.net/browse/123/ Or I did some of it for you. These looks promising, but again I didn't try them.. http://freshmeat.net/projects/amf/ http://freshmeat.net/projects/ams/ http://freshmeat.net/projects/cmp3/ http://freshmeat.net/projects/cplay/ http://freshmeat.net/projects/cymbaline/ http://freshmeat.net/projects/duke/ http://freshmeat.net/projects/gamp/ I just browsed 3 pages on freshmeat index of mp3 players. There are 16 in them.. SO you can search if you are not satisfied already.. > "That time in Seattle... was a nightmare.
