Hi, i have a debian box running on a piii 500 w/ 128M n 20G hdd(seagate). It used for runnin squid. Durin the last 1 yr of its operation, we had to put the machine runnin for 4-6 dayz w/o shuttin dn, and wud do this every 2-3 days. Now the hdd of the comp seems 2 have developed hardware problems. It doesn seem to like being kept running for too long.
Could this hdd problem be cos of keepin it running for long periods (compared 2 a normal pc ofcourse, since this is a normal assembled pc). Its running potato 2.2r3. How do i chk if proper APM stuff is there n working? (apmd?)
