Dear All I am running RedHat 7.1 on a cyrix 300 machine with 4GB hdd and 128MB RAM. The ethernet card is from D-Link with DL10038C written on the chipset. I have searched the web and tried www.scyld.com with no success. Apparantly those drivers dont run on 2.4.x kernels. Doing "modprobe 8139too" immediately hangs the machine and it has to be hard booted. My modules .conf has the lines -
alias eth0 8139too alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc playing with the order of the lines also produces no results. The POST screen shows no two devices using the same IRQ Im really desperate. Any help would be very very welcome.
