Hi all,

I (a newbie) have Mandrake Linux 8.1 installed
recently. I am in an effort to configure my Sony
Digital camera (Model: DSC-S50).

Previously when I used PCQLinux 7.1, I just had to
plug the camera to the USB port and an icon would come
up on the desktop which could be used to browse the
contents of the camera. Now in Mandrake no such thing
happens and I do not know how to configure the same. I
have given the boot parameter for Linux as "nobiospnp"
as suggested in the Errata section of Mandrake site in
order to recognise the CDROM and Floppy drive. Is this
the actual problem? Can anyone throw light?

Thanks & Regards,
Prasad
