How do I go about it ? ie : checking NAT and if required , correcting it
?
My situation is :

o telnet and ftp between 10.10.1.15 and 10.10.1.4 work perfectly.
o a tcp/udp client program running from 10.10.1.15 does not communicate
with a tcp/udp server running on 10.10.1.4 . The server should echo
the message back to the client , and moreover , Naren said that
my same code worked for him with little changes !
   netstat -an|grep 9888
shows that the 2 machines are connected (ESTABLISHED) , and that
   the server is listening (LISTEN).
A CTRL-C at the server shows a "Server Prematurely shut down , at the
   client" .

If my program is fine elsewhere (with very few changes) , and telnet
and ftp work between these 2 machines , Good God ! then what should I do ?

Regards,
Shyam
