Ah, the good old Murkowski disclaimer. In one word, it is "bullshit" > > Under Bill s. 1618 TITLE III passed by the 105th Congress this > > letter cannot be considered spam as long as the sender includes > > contact information and removal instructions. This is a one-time > > e-mail transmissiom. No removal is necessary. 1. This was a *bill* proposed by Senators Murkowski and Torricelli sometime around 1995, and not approved / passed into law. See http://www.spamlaws.com for more information (or there's a cyberlaws page at http://www.jmls.edu - the John Marshall Law School). 2. Even if it was by some weird chance really a law, it would be a US law and would NOT apply in India. 3. Anyone who includes this disclaimer at the bottom of an emailed ad IS a spammer, 100%. So, feel free to pass that mail through something like http://www.spamcop.net - or maybe http://www.vipul.net/ricochet/ and complain to the spammer's email provider, ISP where he sent it from, website he is advertising etc. Get it all shut down. Hound the bastard out :) > Could anybody throw more light on this? Googling for "105th Con- > gres Bills" got me nowhere ... Googling for S1618 would have got you tons of stuff :) -srs -- Suresh Ramasubramanian <----> mallet <at> efn dot org EMail Sturmbannfuhrer, Lower Middle Class Unix Sysadmin [Linux One Stanza Tip] From : <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> LOST #150 -**< Sub : Killing a Process (#3) >**- To kill a process by name, use the killall command.
