Hi,

I tried to install Linux on a 1GB HDD (unpartitioned disk), but had to abort
half-through due to some reason (Signal 11 error if I my memory serves
correctly). Later, when I re-partitioned and formatted the disk under Win98,
I noticed that the disk does not boot! The HDD worked fine earlier, but
since this incident it does not boot. It is perfectly okay in all other
respects, it can be partitioned, formatted, files copied to/from it, etc.,
no bad sectors or any other problem, except it does not boot! The system on
Power-On starts displaying 10 10 10.... endlessly, after POST.

What could be the problem? I tried PQMagic, NDD, Re-partitioning, FAT32,
NTFS, every trick in (my) book, but no go.

Thanks

Ajay Shankar
