KDE 2.2.2 that I have is 90MB (approx). This is with Qt and koffice, 
downloaded as RedHat RPMS. This also includes redundant stuff like
qt-static, kdepim etc. (but excludes all the languages except English).

You can get along with kde so long as you install only kdebase and kdelibs
(with qt, of course).

Come on guys - give KDE a break. ;-) Its not all that bad, you know.
konqueror loads for me in under 3 seconds. Mozilla takes 18-20 seconds.
This on Pentium 3/600 with 128 MB RAM. The comparison with KDE and fvwm is
unfair - KDE is a full desktop environment, whereas fvwm is only a window
manager.
