Hi, To uninstall Oracle 8i you don't have to run the installer even. Just run rm -rf on /usr/oracle, assuming that you have installed oracle on /usr/oracle.
Also you need to delete the /etc/dbora file and any other files that you have created anywhere belonging to the oracle user account. Finally, if you so desire, you can also delete the oracle user accounts and the group accounts to remove all traces of any oracle installation or oracle accounts. BTW, if interested, you can join the Oracle Users Mailing List at www.yahoogroups.com/group/bangalore-oracle-general and www.yahoogroups.com/group/bangalore-oracle-technical Cheers, Surjo. --- rocky g <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi , > > I have installed Oracle 8i on linux, now i want to > uninstall ,can you tell me how to unistall it..? > > Shall i remove the whole directory where it is > install? > > Regards > > Rocky > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
