Hi Amit,

Modems record voice in their own format, which is usually
proprietary.  You'll need to get conversion utilities for your
specific modem which would convert the modem output into WAV or
something, and the utilities woulr probably only run under
DOS/Windows.

Freshmeat/Google may have more information.
