Yup - I know about it, and the fact that it is a magnet for every single
spammer and skr1p7 k1dd33 around (not just Mitnick etc)
He isn't the only one around. Wasn't it rms who insisted on maintaining a
system with no password on the root account at all?
And there's the fact that rms didn't like the standard unix implementation of
su - which allowed only wheel group members to su to root. So, the gnu su
doesn't enforce "only wheel can su to root".
Look at /etc/pam.d/su ...
# Uncomment this to force users to be a member of group root
# before than can use `su'. You can also add "group=foo" to
# to the end of this line if you want to use a group other
# than the default "root".
# (Replaces the `SU_WHEEL_ONLY' option from login.defs)
auth required pam_wheel.so

LOST #136 -**< Sub : Optimising updatedb database >**-
Updatedb creates a database of all installed files and saves
usually to /usr/local/var/locatedb. Certain entries waste time
and space. Rename and make a symlink, or make a script with:
#updatedb --prunepaths="/var /tmp /mnt /cdrom /floppy /proc"
