Why do not you check the squid access.log.For example if you visit a site
let us linuxdoc.org
then it should have logged in the log file and moreover you have to ensure
that all the traffic is
through squid only.You must ensure that all the users traffic should go
through the squid server
if you have any other option or bypassing squid.then the cache building
will take time.
