hi
i have been running RH 7.1 on an intel 810 for a long
time and suddenly everything remotely related with
/dev seems to have conked.
when the system is booting, i get messages like
usb file system failed to load
USB devfs not supported by the kernel
cannot locate usb uhci
cannot locate usbcore
vfat not supported
cannot mount anything as shown
$ mount -t vfat /dev/hda5 /mnt/win
mount: fs type vfat not supported by kernel
$ mount /mnt/floppy
mount: you must specify the filesystem type
$mount /mnt/cdrom
mount: /dev/cdrom is not a valid block device
hdd: driver not present
this will not work even after i have made appropriate
entries in /etc/mtab and fstab
further my X stopped working with error messg of
/dev/agpgart not found.
i have attached the error file.
