a boot floppy is unique to your system.. my boot floppy won't necessarily
boot your machine!

 |or
 |specify any method to boot into linux. please help in
 |recovering my linux.

option 1
--------

Use the boot floppy from redhat (the installation thing that comes on the
CD or it can be downloaded from their site)

and at the prompt type "linux root=/dev/hdaX"

where X is a number and /dev/hdaX is your root(/) partition.

Option 2
--------

download loadlin.exe from the net

get your kernel image ...you can get it from the RH CD .. or from your
/boot (get explore2fs from the net to be able to browse you linux
partitions from windows ***WARNING: don't use this to write into your
linux partitions .. you'll fsck it up really bad! ***)

then boot into Command Prompt Only mode (**not from the Windows Command
Prompt**)and type

loadlin vmlinuz-blah-blah root=/dev/hdbX ro

(where X is a number and /dev/hdaX is your root(/) partition.)
