That is an issue with your local delivery agent, assuming sendmail.

See if setting $MAIL works, or have a .forward file in your homedir, or
recompile your local delivery agent (likely procmail) to deliver to
$HOME/Mailbox (of course you'll have to fix your pop3 / imap daemon to
look there as well...)

If you install courier imap, it is much easier (and courier imap
delivers to ~/Maildir/ by default)
