man mkswap. And for all it's trouble worth I would recommed reinstalling everything with following partition scheme 1)/dev/hda1 4GB FAT for Windows c: 2)/dev/hda2 3GB for linux / 3)/dev/hda3 swap 256MB 4)/dev/hda4 extended everything else. And put lilo on /dev/hda2. In general it's a good idea to install only windows OS on c: and keep everything else on some other drive. c: still swells with new installations but usually doesn't overflow. And since you have two OS's running, you don't need to wipe out your machine entirely. Uninstall all windows software, back up data on linux partitiona and reinstall windows. Restore all data and reinstall linux. It's time consuming but painless and easy. Partition schema's cause much more trouble then it's apparent..:-) Shridhar _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
