I had asked for help in sharing my files (on linux box) and my friends files (win box). Someone had advised to start using samba. I am attempting it. So far i have configured it so that my friend on the network can see that my computer is present, but he is unable to see the contents of my HDD. As for me I cant even see his computer, neither name nor data. As far as networking is concerned my knowledge is next to zero. Please spoon feed. darshan
