It would be a much better strategy to download mail from POP3
or IMAP servers using fetchmail, then do  your  mail browsing
off line using mutt. You may use  procmail to  distribute the
mail as well ... see Suresh's home page for details:
http://www.hserus.net

Can send you a sample .fetchmailrc, .procmailrc  and  .muttrc
in case you still need them ...
