Hi friends,

I am using redhat 7.2 enigma.
I have three network card installed on that pc and one card is connected to isp cable
modem which assigns it the ip(dhcp).

Sometimes i have to restart the network and when i do
/etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart, it shutdowns all cards properly, but while bringing
the ethx up, eth2 which is connected to dhcp gives dump and linux box crashes, it
shows some registers and ip stack and then i have to reboot the system.

i have observed that , while booting , it never gives this kind of problem. Sometimes
, isp's modem is rebooted and i have to restart the network. It gives problem only in
network restart.

What could be the problem ? i have changed the motherboard, ram and network card but
no luck, i conclude that , the problem is not depended on these h/ws , so may be it is
the problem of cable modem or redhat linux 7.2

please guide me ....

kunal
