You can also do this.. 1) Edit /etc/inittab . 2) Find the line's like below # What to do at the "Three Finger Salute". ca::ctrlaltdel:/sbin/shutdown -t5 -rf now 3) Add the -a switch to shutdown , (i,e) change the above line to # What to do at the "Three Finger Salute". ca::ctrlaltdel:/sbin/shutdown -a -t5 -rf now 4) Create /etc/shutdown.allow 5) Put in the user name's line by line who have shutdown privileges. man shutdown for more details. cheers dushyanth -- hmmm... you think that's air that you're breathing now?
