Installing in some other crude way ;-)

1. boot to ramdisk image
2. partition hdd
3. mount hdd partions
4. mount cdrom
5. untar the base rootFS to harddisk root partition
6. chroot to harddisk rootFS partition
7. write appropriate lilo.conf
8. use lilo to make harddisk bootable
9. continue installing other packages or reboot
