Then - take a look at your /var/log/maillog to see where the mail was going?

There is package called "mtools" just for this. Once installed
you can do manipulation of DOS floppies/ partitions using all
commonly used DOS syntax with prefix of "m" ... For example :
mcopy a:/test.txt /home/usr/. For directory listing: mdir a:; 
or mformat a: to format a: as msdos floppy
